Over the past few weeks, there have been multiple reports of the Xbox Series X|S controller disconnecting from the console. As of the writing of this article, the issue has not been resolved, however, Microsoft has come up with a workaround for your disconnecting Xbox Series X controller.
Per Xbox Support they are aware of the issue. Xbox has given its current workaround as apart of its newest OS update. If you see this behavior, try reconnecting the controller to the console wirelessly or with a USB cable, or if possible, connecting another controller and then submitting feedback. Then reboot the console and try reconnecting the controller.
Not the answer gamers want about their brand new controller, however, it’s the only solution currently at the moment.
