When we brought you the news about the Microsoft-Activision deal, we asked about games that could be affected by the deal. Naturally, Call of Duty is a big part of Activision, and we have seen Sony and Microsoft go head-to-head. We also don’t know how this will affect the deal, as it’s still being heavily debated and the legal side is still very heated, depending on where you read your information. Personally, I am not overly confident. The deal may affect another upcoming and anticipated RPG, Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 is the next installment in the action RPG franchise dating back to 1997. It was announced just over three years ago at the 2019 BlizzCon, which was in November of that year. The release date is just around the corner. The game is set to launch on June 6th of this year. As for any Game Pass release that will depend on the outcome of the merger talks with Microsoft. The game is also getting a beta, which we have details on.
The Diablo 4 Beta Information
The game will get a beta and early access to the beta as well. The beta will last two weekends, which was similar to the Call of Duty beta. Those who preorder will have access to the beta from March 17th to March 19th. The beta will be available to everyone else from March 24th to March 26th. This information comes from IGN Fan Fest.
