Where Gaming Begins

Demonschool by Necrosoft Games Delayed Until November

When it comes to gaming nowadays, I think we are all a little accustomed to game delays. Fable from Playground Games, for example, was delayed out of 2025 to escape Grand Theft Auto 6, but found itself still launching in the same year as GTA was delayed shortly after. But with the announcement of Silksong having an official, concrete release date, many indie fans were cheering in the streets, while Demonschool was left realizing it was launching eerily close to a highly anticipated title.

So, what was the plan then? Well, that would be to delay itself until November 19th. This is, of course, not ideal for fans of the game who have been eagerly awaiting its release. However, as its publisher stated, visibility is just as important to the game as the release quality will be.

Why Delay Demonschool Until November?

The publisher of the game, Ysbryd Games felt that if September is going to give Silksong its moment, then they would need to land somewhere else on the calendar to give Demonschool its own moment to be seen and talked about meaningfully. Given that the game has been delayed before, they are clear on one point: there will be no more delays for the game.

Between now and November, Necrosoft Games will continue to pour its time into enhancing and polishing the game experience. For example, there will be more endings and minigames that were originally planned to be patched in post-release, rather than leave them on the cutting floor.

While it is a bummer for the game to be delayed, most games these days, indies, AAA’s, and everything in between, only really have one shot. If there are any unforeseen problems with a game, that can spell its doom, let alone being overshadowed by Silksong. That being said, Demonschool will launch on November 19th for PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and EGS, and Xbox One/Series X|S for $24.99.
