Xbox Game Pass is almost a gaming household name at this point. Another thing outside of the popularity of Game Pass we have seen is Sony console exclusives launching on PC. Games such as God of War, Detroit, Death Stranding, and just recently Spider-Man Remastered. Even MLB has launched in the past two years in Game Pass. However, could we see even more Sony studio releases come into the Microsoft service?
There is some bad blood between Microsoft and Sony at present. Push Square has an article bringing this to people’s attention. To sum it up Sony spoke out over the Microsoft and Activision deal believing it’ll sway console purchases and Microsoft’s response was according to Push Square that they claim Sony is paying “publishers and developers block fees to stop them from putting their titles on Xbox Game Pass”. So outside of all of this where does Death Stranding fit in?
Death Stranding May Be Coming To PC Game Pass
It’s possible and let’s look at how it could actually happen. Please remember this isn’t confirmed and is still a rumor. Death Stranding is published on PC by 505 Games, not Sony. Also, a recent Tweet by the PC Game Pass Twitter account had people talking. They said “sometimes we just like a good landscape picture” and the new profile picture was a very Death Stranding-esque environment.
Fans spotted this and posted shots of the game to show the similarities.
It doesn’t prove anything of course but it could be a situation very much worth monitoring. In the meantime, we could still be getting a sequel as Norman Reedus stated negotiations were underway.
