Starship Troopers: Extermination Console Bound? In Tanta We Trust, Or Do We? Alan Wake 2 Out In October And Digital Only Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Revealed Layers Of Fear Release News And Demo Drops

Resident Evil launched nearly three decades ago and has definitely made its mark. We’ve seen several games, TV series, and films with a new animated one this summer. It’s crossed over into other games such as The Division 2 and Rainbow Six Siege with skins for those games. It’s also inspired several games. Games such as Tormented Souls and games coming soon such as Echoes of the Living are out now. However, another tribute to the series nearly became a fan remake of Resident Evil 2 but was redesigned after being shut down for the official remake. That game became Daymare 1998 and it has a prequel coming soon in Daymare 1994: Sandcastle.

Daymare 1994: Sandcastle is due very soon and is coming to PC. The game on Steam also has a demo out now. This is how the game is shaping up based on the demo build. It is an upgrade on what I saw with the previous game.

If you are curious about how it compares to the previous game, we have you covered. It’s sometimes not the most apparent upgrade but character animation, lighting, and shadows are where the game has improved. We could see more changes as the demo tells us it is not the final build.

The Daymare 1994 Release Details

We know the game is coming to PC. However, fear not if you’re not on PC as we have news of console ports from the developer Invader Studios.

So it hits all console platforms this August except we have no mention of a Switch release. However, both MP1st and Gematsu state a Switch port is due later this year. Gematsu also quotes the press release from the founder of the publisher Leonardo Interactive. This is what Leonardo Caltagirone said.

We’re excited to be so close to completing the years-long work. The worthy heir to the first chapter is coming out, and we can’t wait to show you the clear improvements.”

As for the game overview

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle cast players as special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research center in the United States of America. But who knows what dangers await her?

Entering the Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle demo, players will experience both the first steps into the game story, having a detailed look at the game’s mechanics and graphics and the combat model, with the possibility to try out most of the in-game weapons such as the liquid nitrogen-enhanced Frost Grip.

The demo will also allow players to provide feedback and suggestions to the developers, which will be considered for the final version of the game together with the final fine-tuning. In a massive effort to meet & match the high expectations of the community and lovers of the franchise, Leonardo Interactive decided to move to August the final game release.

Hopefully, we get some news soon on what is happening with the Switch release. Though it could be an interesting few days as Steam will be getting a look at the remake of Layers of Fear via a week-long demo from 15th-22nd May. However, will you be looking into Daymare 1994? As always we look forward to hearing your thoughts. So why not get in touch and share them with us?
