It’s no secret that one of the most consistently good game franchises out there is born from Warhammer 40k. It’s everywhere, in almost all forms you can imagine. Boomer shooters with Boltgun, CRPGs with Rogue Trader, and obviously, the insanely successful Space Marine series. But, for those looking for a more casual and fun co-op experience, look no further than Fatshark’s games with Vermintide and Darktide.
Darktide is still ongoing and receiving free updates. But recently, a new DLC has dropped that adds a brand new and cool character, called the “Hive Scum”. In a bombastic trailer, Fatshark showed off its abilities in-game. Here is what you can expect from this new DLC!
Dual-Wielding Mayhem in Darktide
The Hive Scum features some really cool gameplay in their kit. Obviously, the highlight is the dual-wielding pistols, but Fatshark leaned into the “scum” themes with the rest of their kit. As the Hive Scum features shivs, a cleaver, and even a rocket launcher for good measure. All of this is wrapped up in, of course, a talent tree to progress in and make your Hive Scum even better.
