Cyberpunk 2077 – PlayStation 5 Pro Support Or Nah?

Cyberpunk 2077

It’s already been a few weeks since Sony allowed us to toy with the PlayStation 5 Pro. The 30th Anniversary model is also set to arrive today. Here’s a list of games receiving upgrades for the mid-gen console. Dying Light 2 and The Callisto Protocol also made it on the PS5 Pro Support list since then. I’d also love to see Final Fantasy 16, Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 make that list. Even Robocop Rogue City would be a nice addition. No bias at all, obviously.

It’s not a long shot to hope for a Pro Upgrade for Final Fantasy 16, since Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth already got this treatment. As for the other titles… I’m still hoping. I thought we might get lucky with a particular CD Projekt Red masterpiece. No, I’m not talking about The Witch 3. It’s Cyberpunk 2077. Someone asked on Twitter about Pro Support in response to a post about International Men’s Day by the developer. Let’s hear what they had to say.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Worhty Of The Pro Upgrade?

Alrighty, I won’t keep you waiting: the official answer from CD Projekt Red is “No”. Or at least not for now. They stated they “currently have no plans” to update the game to support the PlayStation 5 Pro. It’s no surprise Cyberpunk 2077 is not on their priority list at the moment. They’ve got their hands busy with their next project. Which is seemingly The Witcher 4. They’re also working on the remake of the first Witcher game. All in all, our journey in Night City won’t get more futuristic on Sony’s newest console. For now…
