If you’re still after some spooky games then we could have a treat for you. The gaming industry couldn’t stay idle and it scared us all with some crazy good games. We’ve seen the remakes of Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn launch. Alan Wake 2 got its latest expansion and the Silent Hill 2 / Resident Evil-inspired Hollowbody also launched on 12th September. With all this being said, there seems to be a new player who wants a place at the table with the other horror giants. Can Connection: The Nightmare Within go toe to toe with them? And what is this game even about?
The first thing that will catch your attention is its Steam description. It tells us the game is inspired by titles such as “Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Alone In The Dark”. This means that it was inspired by arguably the three most popular franchises in survival horror. You play Detective Stone as they investigate a “shadow conspiracy”. The game will have you “explore atmospheric levels, fight monsters, and solve puzzles”. The description closes by telling you that you have to unravel “a story of twists and turns. Choose classic fixed camera, or over-the-shoulder”. But what can we tell you about Connection: The Nightmare? Let’s look to find out more about the game.
What The Game Is About
You play a detective and have one of the “craziest” cases you’ve taken on. Naturally, you will find clues to solve the case but you also need to do deal with various creatures and solve various puzzles. As you play the game you can play with two camera modes. We have a fixed camera angle for the old-school feel. There is also a over the shoulder mode which is more how we see games in the genre look today. You can check the screenshots below if you are curious about what the two camera perspectives look like.

Connection: The Nightmare Release Information
Sounds interesting and you’d like to dive into it right away? Then you’re in luck – the game is already out on Steam. Got mixed feelings and you’re unsure if you’ll like it? The game features a free demo that allows you to take it for a spin. I also reached out to the developers to see if there’s any chance of a future console port. We’ll see what they have to say.
