Strange Scaffold, alongside publisher Frosty Pop, has launched Versus Mode for the medieval monk multiplayer romp Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking. This is a free update that’s available now on Steam.

So What Exactly Is Co-Op Kaiju Horror Cooking?

Besides sounding like you could sing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme to it, this game has you controlling medieval monks tasked with preparing food to prevent the apocalypse. You feed gigantic monsters (or kaiju) via catapults, evade supernatural enemies, and navigate a labyrinth with a crew of four or more monks.

Last month, Strange Scaffold launched an Endless Mode. This allows players to try to score as many points as possible. It also allows them to enter more challenging levels at random.

Versus Mode

The Versus Mode of Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking adds in a competitive twist. Players split into rival teams to feed their respective kaiju’s hunger first. They can also explore the larder, which is the previously mentioned labyrinth, at their own risk, to try to scavenge resources faster than the rival teams. There’s also a bit of strategy and diplomacy involved, as players can strategize with allies and terrorize other teams to win.

Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is available on Steam for $7.99. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X and BlueSky.
