We recently covered the PlayStation port of Someday You’ll Return, which originally launched on PC and received a director’s cut three years later. The game is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but there’s no news yet of an Xbox release. This is not surprising, as games like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture never made it to Xbox either. However, there are similar games on Xbox, such as Cions of Vega, which also follows a father searching for his missing daughter. The console release of Cions of Vega includes Xbox and it launched a day after Someday You’ll Return.
However, “Cions of Vega” was originally launched on PC in 2021, with a demo available on Steam. Developed by Tonguç Bodur, the game follows the story of a father searching for his missing daughter, accompanied by his brother after she ran away from home. Now, let’s take a closer look at the demo. The game’s graphics are visually stunning and offer an immersive experience.
Cions Of Vega The Game Play
The game feels actually really smooth to play. Running it on a laptop using the mousepad doesn’t always offer the most precise movement but here combined with the game’s key bindings works smoothly. I can imagine the console version is similar in feel, and there’s no reason for it not to be.
So that’s a snapshot of the game running. The frame rate felt solid and for this, it was capped at 60 fps and ran easily. We see how it looks, and how it plays, and the score that drifted in and out really works well and complements the game. it adds to the atmosphere and the mood. If I look back to the game’s description, we see the developers say “the core aspect of this game is the atmosphere. It is recommended for those who mostly seek to experience the mood”. That is so clearly evident in the demo. Would the demo convince me to buy the game, yes it would?
