Chernobylite is a STALKER-like game that was released on PC last summer that was then released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 a few months later. It is, of course, backward compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, road map announcements late last year indicated that Chernobylite Enhanced Edition is still on the way.

Chernobylite Enhanced Edition was set to be released in the first quarter of 2022. Thanks to recent information we now know the release date due to the game’s Twitter account and the publisher’s website. This is what we discovered on Twitter:

Stalkers! Chernobylite’s highly anticipated next-generation console version will be published on April 21.
The PC Enhanced Edition, Blue Flames DLC, and a physical edition of Chernobylite for the PS5 will all be available to accompany the launch.

The Xbox update is planned to use Smart Delivery for their Xbox consoles. Those using a PlayStation will almost certainly need to seek the game and download the PS5 version separately. In the United Kingdom, the physical version listing is available at a few outlets on April 22nd. We’ve reached out to both stores for confirmation. However, as of the time of writing, no response has been received.

Enhance Edition Offerings:

The publisher confirmed console and PC updates will “introduce ray tracing”. The next-gen console versions will be getting two graphic modes. One is 4k30 and the other is 1080p60. Additionally, for those playing on PlayStation 5, the announcement states the upgrade will “additionally add features for DualSense Controllers such as advanced vibrations and adaptive triggers as well as compatibility with PlayStation’s Activity Card feature.”

Blue Flames DLC:

The new DLC included in this update is one of four pieces of post-launch content. More information about the road map may be found here. But this is what Blue Flames provides.

Blue Flames, the first of four content drops planned for 2022, will be available on all platforms. Blue Flames will include a free content update called ‘Memories of You,’ as well as a new weapon called the Silent Assassin crossbow and a premium content pack. Through new events and treasures in ‘Memories of You,’ players will discover more about Tatyana and Igor’s tragic tale.

Did anyone grab this at launch, If you did we are curious about what you think of the game? We reviewed the PC version back in July and the console experience was also positive from personal experience.
