The Page Turners Podcast features Walt and BaronJ67 discussing the manga they are currently reading. For this week we are reading and breaking down Chainsaw Man Ch 1-5. The manga is Tatsuki Fujimoto’s creation and can be found in Shonen Jump. This will be a weekly show and we will be breaking down what we read and even highlighting which moments stood out to us. During this week’s episode, we took some advice from one of our viewers and pivoted. Instead of continuing down our normal path of reading Kaiju No. 8 we jumped over to Chainsaw Man. Now one thing that is a clear difference between the two is the amount of body gore. Chainsaw Man follows the story of a kid named Denji who is indebted to the Yakuza and his only friend is a devil. The devil’s name is Pochita and is a chainsaw devil. Things in Denji’s life get a lot worse before they get a whole lot better at least in his eyes. Check out the full breakdown in the video below.
