Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions announced on January 6th that Carmen Sandiego will launch on January 28th for iOS and Android. The game will later come to PC and all consoles on March 4th. Along with the launch news, an exclusive 40th Anniversary physical edition will release in late April 2025. On mobile storefronts, the title will be exclusive to Netflix Games.
Originally launching in 1985, the video game series has picked up acclaim for being a fun adventure that is also educational. The series features elements to teach children about geography, “edutainment.” More recently, Netflix released an animated series that the game’s art style is clearly inspired by. Celebrating Carmen Sandiego’s 40th anniversary, the game aims to continue Carmen’s adventures to protect the world’s treasures from the criminal syndicate known as VILE. Players can look forward to a mystery featuring a globe trotting adventure filled with puzzles, fun gadgets, and crime solving.
The physical edition is filled with a bunch of great goodies such as a 40th anniversary sleeve, map, exclusive outfits, soundtrack, digital artbook, and more!
Players who pre-order Carmen Sandiego on digital platforms can take advantage of exclusive discounts on The Deluxe Edition which will be discounted by 20%. Pre-orders are not yet available for Steam users; however, the discount will remain valid at launch for a limited time if the current Community Wishlist Challenge goals are met.
