I had the chance to test the recent Karate Kid game, which was a retro scrolling beat-’em-up. We see racers take inspiration from the likes of OutRun. How about a retro shooter with a twist? Is that a yes? I hear you cry. We are excited to bring you news of a shooting game featuring a sailor with a shotgun for an arm. No matter how you prefer your shooters, this game is likely one of the most unique ones you’ll encounter. Without further ado, let’s introduce you to Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation. Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation is a game that delivers “old-school shooter carnage with a swashbuckling twin-barreled twist.” It also describes it as “hand-drawn and dripping with attitude.” The game is due later this year and is coming to PC. We recommend checking out the Steam listing and trying out the demo of this game. We play as the titular Captain Wayne in this “fast-action, blood-drenched FPS” gameplay.
