Another leak has surfaced and this seems to be regarding the next Call of Duty game. And it seems that an article back on March by Eurogamer could indeed be accurate.
What is the next game.
If the leaks and reports are indeed accurate then the next game will be under the title Call of Duty Vanguard. And it appears to be leaving the modem setting and returning to World War 2, just as Battlefield goes a couple of decades into the future. Call of Duty was last in this era with the WW2 game 4 years ago. Also a potential launch would be interesting as Charlie Intel reported in June
EA announced today that Byron Beede, the former Call of Duty and Destiny general manager. has been appointed as the new SVP and GM of the Battlefield franchise, which perhaps “signals a strategic, long-term commitment to the growth of the franchise.“
He had a major role in Warzone, and is now part of Battlefield who have the new Portal mode.
Where did they find the leaks?
Thanks to Charlie Intel, they were hidden within files for the current Call of Duty. As we know that’s Black Ops Cold. We have images of a cross gen release and some of the operators and game setting and a upcoming beta.
Nothing has been confirmed yet by Activision, so hopefully these leaks may mean something happening sooner rather than later. However with all the allegations surrounding the company at this moment, some positive news may be welcomed. Also Eurogamer have been accurate for the past few titles in the franchise. Add to fact the leaks are coming from files within Black Ops Cold War then the likelihood these are legitimate are high and revealed soon. With Gamescom around the corner a chance of a reveal there is also pretty high.
