Star Wars fans are familiar with the tales of Cal Kestis. A Jedi forced to hide away before a turn of events leads us to a new chapter in his story. We saw this unfold in the quality game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s a game I fully recommend playing especially for fans of the Series. Gamers are set to get a sequel soon in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. There is a book out right now that builds into the story of Survivor which may be worth a look. The book is called Star Wars Jedi Battle Scars and is reported to have a connection to the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney + show. Rumors have circulated that the Jedi Knight more recently played by Ewan McGregor is appearing in Survivor.

Now we have more news on the future of Cal Kestis and it’s not from a novel or a leak but in an interview for IGN. This interview was with Stig Asmussen the director of the game. He revealed that before the Jedi Fallen Order launched plans for the future of the story were discussed. It only makes sense they had plans to continue the story across multiple game way back in 2019.

So Let’s See What They Want For The Story Of Cal Kestis

Asmussen told IGN that Cal’s story was always going to be a trilogy. This is what he stated:

We were already talking about the second game. I mean, frankly, we were talking beyond. And these are conversations that, when we’re breaking this story with Lucasfilm, it’s like: ‘Well, where are we going with the second game?’ I always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and the crew to new places beyond what we were doing in the first game.

Asmussen said Respawn also knew early on what the story was for the upcoming Jedi Survivor. They also feel they can take the story beyond that as well. We don’t have long to wait for the next chapter of Cal’s journey. Even with the recent delay, it’s coming soon, next month on 28th April. Are you looking forward to continuing where we left off on Jedi Fallen Order? I personally am really looking forward to Survivor next month.
