Nightdive Studios were working on reintroducing System Shock to modern gamers. Now they have handed over reigns to System Shock 3 and focusing on the original game’s remake. However, that’s not all they have in the pipeline, as they have on the way a remaster of a Westwood Studios classic. Back in 1997 Westwood gave us the Blade Runner adventure game. which was loved by many at launch.
Twenty-five years later it seems Blade Runner is returning. Pure Xbox has a list of games coming next week and the schedule is a listing for Blade Runner Enhanced Edition. Back in March 2020, Nightdive revealed they had plans to bring it back, but it did appear it wasn’t happening later that year.
Blade Runner What To Expect
Clearly then those problems have been solved especially as Pure Xbox reports it as coming next week. The date given is the 23rd so we will know much more then. Limited Run Games also seem to show a release for PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch
Blade Runner is said to have various improvements including “reconstruction and upressing of videos, a modern HD display, anisotropic texture filtering” and more. This isn’t the only point n click series to get a console release as we recently saw the release of Beyond A Steel Sky. According to Pure Xbox, this is the Blade Runner press release information
