PM Studios is teaming up with Game Science to bring Black Myth: Wukong to PlayStation 5 with a physical edition.
Black Myth: Wukong was originally released on Steam and the PlayStation store in August of 2024. It was an instant hit, selling over 20 million units in a month and surpassing Elden Ring’s all-time peak player count with over 2.4 million concurrent players on Steam. PS5 players wishing for a physical case to place on their shelves at home will finally have their wish answered.
The Physical edition comes with a Deluxe Edition voucher.
The Deluxe Edition voucher includes the following:
- Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
- Equipment: Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and Folk Opera Buskins
- Curio: Wind Chimes

Players become the Destined One, venturing into a world inspired by Chinese mythology filled with beautiful locales and challenging combat. As they complete challenges and explore marvelous locations, they will uncover the truth behind a deeply rooted legend from the past. A diverse cast of powerful foes and rivals awaits the player throughout their experience. They will utilize a variation of staff techniques, spells, abilities, weapons, and equipment that results in epic battles. Spells and magic vessels counteract or amplify each other, showcasing iconic combat elements of Chinese mythology.
Black Myth: Wukong has an engaging story
But it’s not all about combat! The engaging story details the origins and motivations of your foes, providing a glimpse into the rich Chinese Mythology. As the player, you will uncover the rich history of your foes and learn what drives them.
Preorders are now live on major retailers, but an official release date has not been announced. Black Myth: Wukong will be available at the PM Studios store and retailers in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand “soon.”
