Honoring the Great Black Myth: Wukong

When it comes to Black Myth: Wukong, the game sold purely on its own merit. While the game is no doubt a massive success in its developer’s homeland, the game made waves across the world. So much so, that a physical release was made for players on the PlayStation 5. Allowing collectors around the world to preserve the game for years to come. The game also won the Players Voice at The Game Awards last year and always rises to about 50k players on Steam as a single player title according to Steam charts.

25 million copies sold is not an easy feat for most developers. Sony has seen similar success with games like God of War, and Horizon. But the only company that sees success like this is Nintendo considering their legacy in the gaming industry. While updates to Black Myth: Wukong roll in on occasion to keep players engaged, like the Boss Rush Mode. It will no doubt be wonderful to see what Game Science creates next, and how it performs when stacked up this very successful debut game.
