Following the alpha footage leak a few months ago, Skull & Bones finally got its long-awaited release date. Ubisoft’s multiplayer pirate adventure sets sail this November after a much-troubled development cycle. Another title suffering in its development is Beyond Good & Evil 2. It’s been some time since we last heard anything about the long-awaited sequel. For those wanting to refresh their memory, cast your mind back to the recent trailer from E3 2018.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was originally teased in 2008 and then announced fully in 2017. So it’s a game that has had a lengthy development. When teased, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were only a few years into their life span. We are now a couple of console generations later and well into the second year of this one. Even with that, Ubisoft’s game seems no closer to a release.

We are closing in on 2023 and the game teased years ago could still have a glimmer of hope. This is following the games creator quitting the industry. Which at the time put the future of this and WiLD in doubt. Beyond Good & Evil 2. Now the game has a new lead writer who announced it on Twitter.

As we see, that is Sarah Arellano, who was previously at Blizzard. However, if the project was dead, why would she be on board? So where it stands we can’t say, but the game is still alive it looks like.
