Baldurs Gate 3 Release Details Confirmed

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate enthusiasts should pay attention as it has been quite some time since the franchise saw a significant release. The first game was released in 1998, followed by a sequel a couple of years later. In 2013, enhanced versions of these games were released, with console ports following in 2019. However, considering that nearly 25 years have passed since the second installment, what about Baldur’s Gate 3? We hope to provide some insights into the current status of this Dungeons & Dragons RPG series set in the Forgotten Realms today.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is actually available though it’s via early access on Steam and came out in October 2020. Though not everyone wants to purchase as early access which is understandable. Through releasing Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin 2, we’ve learned that working directly with our players during development makes our games better. They get asked if players will enjoy this release in early access. The response was

Having been in Early Access for a while, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a relatively stable experience with many hours of content. However, though we incrementally add classes and features in the lead-up to launch, it contains approximately 1/3rd of the game.

Only buy the game now if you’d like an early look, or if you want to participate in community feedback ahead of the full launch. Otherwise, we suggest you wait until version 1.0 releases – that way, you’ll be able to enjoy the full story of Baldur’s Gate 3 along with all of the playable classes, races, skills and spells that will be included in the full game – and you’ll get less of the bugs.

So for some, it’s been a long road from the second game. Now for the good news for those who want to wait
