Another game and another rumor. This time it’s a fantasy RPG Avowed from Obsidian that’s doing the rounds rumor-wise. This is their take on the worlds we have seen from Bethesda in the Elder Scrolls series. It was back in October when we last had anything to report and that information came from Jez Corden from Windows Central
It seems that this game is close to his heart as Jez is back with more news regarding Obsidian’s rival to Skyrim. He has had insider info before and been reliable with it and is a name people trust and he’s just recently been talking about Avowed on the Boxenburger’s World of Gaming podcast.
What thoughts did Jez share about Avowed
It seems he feels the game may be launching in the first half of next year. This is what Jez had to say on the podcast.
I expect we’ll see [footage of] that game this year because like I said, last year, it looked pretty damn ready. There were some things that weren’t implemented…there were some effects that weren’t implemented, some textures that weren’t implemented. There was some lighting that clearly wasn’t finished or ready to go.
But it looked – the gameplay looked solid. It looked playable and ready to go…I think we’ll probably see the game revealed this year and then maybe like a launch…maybe Q1, Q2 2023.
As well as this game Obsidian is working on the sequel to The Outer Worlds which gamers received a trailer that was about as funny as video game trailers can be. Hopefully as the year progresses we get some concrete information on the game or see how it actually plays. So what is your take on this news? Do you think we’ll see this game within the next fifteen months? However you feel we’d love to hear from you on this news.
