It seems a while ago we started talking about Atomic Heart. A wild crazy shooter that we waited for ages for a release date. We saw the first proper gameplay around three years ago which included a mini-boss fight. The game itself was first announced way back in 2018. So the game has been a long time coming. If you wish to refresh your memory and see how the game was introduced then look at the trailer below.

Back then we were very early into the mid-gen consoles from the last gen. That being the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X. So naturally, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S was really low down in gaming discussions publicly.

We do know that not only does Atomic Heart have a release date but it is available to pre-order. It is out on 21st February. For Xbox owners, it is on the confirmed list of titles launching on day one of the Game Pass subscription service. The game will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. There are also three editions available. Standard, this is the one launching into Game Pass. You can also purchase a Gold or Premium edition

Next-Gen Features For Atomic Heart

Mundfish has revealed some things to expect from the new generation of consoles. A post on Twitter broke down what we get in regard to the game’s performance. Basically, according to Mundfish we can expect to get a “Solid 60 fps, 4K in dungeons, and Dynamic resolution, mostly 4K at 60 fps in open world”. They emphasize this is for next-gen systems only. So it seems they will on the fly alter the game’s resolution to maintain that 60 FPS target. Is this game one you’re eager to play? As always let us know as we love hearing from you.
