Division 3: A Risky Proposition for Ubisoft’s Future My Hero Ultra Rumble – A New Battle Royale Game Based on My Hero Academia Phantom Blade: Executioners Brings Fast-Paced Dark Fantasy Action to PlayStation and PC This November Spider-Man 2 Release Update As Launch Draws Near A Return of a Legand: Thrawn

Atlus has been on quite the spree in the past year. With it being the 25th anniversary of the Persona franchise; they’ve shown off many of the rumored projects they had in development. Recently they had the announcement of the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax remaster. But they aren’t just showing off with their mainline series as today Atlus announces Soul Hackers 2!

Now, for those who don’t know what Soul Hackers is, it is a spin-off of a spin-off series. Since Soul Hackers was a spin-off of the Devil Summoner series; which was an offshoot of the Shin Megami Tensei series. What is most surprising is that this is a sequel to a very small 3DS game. But it seems that Atlus is wanting to bring it back bigger than ever with its reveal.

And this is exciting for fans to get to play a new game in the Devil Summoner series. However, what was mindblowing was the announcement of the platforms. Along with the announcement came confirmation that it will be coming to PS4, PS5, and Steam. But, most notably, it will also launch on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows. This marks the first time in almost 7 years, that Atlus has released a game on the Xbox platform.

About a year ago we published a piece on the need for more JRPGs on the Xbox platform, and how Atlus was one of the biggest names. Needless to say that in the past year much has been changing for Xbox in the Asian region.

Soul Hackers 2 will be launching this Fall on August 26th. It will be available physically for Playstation platforms and digital on Xbox. While this has only been confirmed for Japan expect it to be similar in the west. As well as there was an announcement of a collectors edition of the game in Japan which can be seen below.

With hype around anything Atlus, it will be nice to see new love given to its other universes and spin-offs. Now that Atlus announces Soul Hackers 2 is getting a sequel, which other franchise should get some new love? Let us know down in the comments.
