April Game Pass Games – The Confirmed Games So Far

Xbox owners and PC owners are very familiar with the Game Pass service. If you upgrade from Core to the Ultimate service then you will find access to a vast array of games. All first-party games will arrive at launch and some third-party games have launched into the service. For example, we saw Lies of P launch into the service like this. We are nearly mid-way through March so will be the April Game Pass additions.

The April Game Pass titles confirmed so far do not include any major names. However, we have some interesting titles to hit the service.

The Confirmed April Game Pass Additions

Thanks to Pure Xbox we have a list of some confirmed games. Keep an eye on it as we may see more added. For example, we had the March list and a sudden addition out of the blue for the zombie apocalypse of Dead Island 2. All.

Turbo Golf Racing

This is technically available now but as we see it’s in the form of Game Preview. The full game will be available on 4th of April. You can find it on the Xbox store here. The description given in the article by Pure Xbox is as follows

An action-packed fusion of racing and golf. Traverse across a diverse range of courses, using your car to skillfully putt your ball in the hole. Make every shot count in the new 1v1 Golf showdown, compete against 7 opponents in Race mode, or test your skills against the clock in Time Trials.

Botany Manor

This will launch on 9th April. The official website gives us the following information. It’s also a game we covered just over a year ago.

You play as its inhabitant Arabella Greene, a retired botanist. Explore your house and gardens, filled with botanical research, to figure out the ideal habitat for a collection of forgotten flora. Grow each plant to discover the mysterious qualities they hold…

Though if you’re curious about what features this game provides we have the following information.

  • Botany Manor is a first-person puzzle game set in a Victorian English manor.
  • It’s 1890, and you play as botanist Arabella Greene, who is working on finishing her botanical research book ‘Forgotten Flora’.
  • Explore a complete historical English manor and its grounds, researching how to grow rare plant specimens from seed. There are many rooms and gardens to discover, all set inside a beautiful countryside surrounding.
  • The manor is filled with mysterious clues for you to discover, including books, posters, letters and fascinating Victorian contraptions.
  • The plants you grow are fantastical, but still inspired by real phenomena in nature, so some of them require you to think outside the box. Using what’s available to you in the manor, you must create the ideal conditions for each plant.
  • Room by room, you learn more about the life and career of Arabella, and the challenges she faced as a woman navigating her scientific career.
  • Botany Manor is a relaxing and peaceful environment, feel free to stop and smell the roses.

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes

This RPG is set to arrive on 24th April according to Pure Xbox and Steam lists it for the 23rd. According to the Steam listing, this game is “designed to bring players a modern take on a classic JRPG experience. Get ready to lead 100+ playable characters through a war-torn world only you can save”.

Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values.
By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there.

The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic.

Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further.
It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends.

However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.

Another Crab’s Treasure

This Souls Like Adventure by Aggro Crab is coming April 25th. Store listings state the following.

A soulslike adventure set in a crumbling underwater world.

In this uniquely colorful soulslike, Kril the hermit crab must wear trash as shells to survive a dangerous undersea world on the verge of collapse. Hone your skills, defeat lethal predators, and embark on a treasure hunt to decide the fate of the ocean. The second game from Aggro Crab.

Manor Lords

This game is the only title listed here launching on Xbox separately. So the 26th April date is for PC only. When the game hits Xbox it will also launch in Game Pass like its PC counterpart. This is according to the games website a strategy game that “that combines deep, organic and realistic city building with large scale, tactical battles”. It has also used Unreal Engine 4 and was designed by a solo developer. Though the website does say PC but it is officially confirmed for console as the end of the release date announcement trailer shows.
