Cyberpunk-styled games have been very popular lately as of late. The most recent being ANNO Mutationem which launched on PS4, PS5, & PC in March of last year. The game reached new audiences in September later that year. However, fans on the Xbox platform were hoping they could be coming to their platform. While it was confirmed to be coming earlier this year by the devs, we had no solid release date. That was until the devs announced ANNO Mutationem launching this week.
The announcement came late last night from the devs from a post on their official Twitter account. In a very short and quick announcement. They let Xbox players know that the game will be officially launching on the platform this Friday the 22nd. This is great news for those who have been waiting, Such as myself. However, it also highlights another issue, that sometimes amazing indie titles, don’t launch day and date with all other platforms or alongside missing platforms after whatever exclusivity period. sometimes it can take over a year for a game to come to the platform.
No matter what, it is great news for those who haven’t experienced this wonderful 2.5D pixel action game. Currently, ANNO Mutationem doesn’t have a price on Xbox just yet and is not available for pre-order, but it may be about the same as on PC which is $24.99. With a collectors or deluxe edition for $34.99.
