Film to game conversions are common and can receive mixed feedback. Recently we had the zombies of World War Z brought across. Now Saber Interactive is bringing another film to the video game world. The film in question is A Quiet Place. It seems as if this game will be a single-player horror title. Saber Interactive has a few projects in the works, the main title being the Witcher 3 upgrade. They are also helping bring Kingdom Come Deliverance to the Switch. This was a port that came about by complete accident.

If you’re unfamiliar with A Quiet Place, it hit screens in 2018. The Abbott family is in a post-apocalyptic world. A world where they need to live in silence. Most of the human race has been killed by creatures. They hunt by sound but are blind forcing Lee Abbott, his wife Evelyn, and their children to communicate with sign language. It was a success and a sequel hit last year. So it’s a film with a world that could fit the survival horror genre.

A Quiet Place the game information

So far very limited information is available. We know it’s Saber Interactive at the helm but they have never published a project by an external studio before. The development is to be undertaken by iLLOGIKA. The statement posted in the official announcement by Hervé Sliwa the Creative Director at iLLOGIKA says of the release set for next year

The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before. We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.

They are a studio from Montreal with some experience. They have developers with experience in the Rainbow Six and Far Cry games. But as with all news, your views and thoughts are important to us. What do you think of this? Are you a fan of the films? Would this interest you or even tempt you to watch the films. So please get in touch as we want to hear from you.
