So if you’re a fan of the Forza series or more specifically the Horizon series you got good news recently. Firstly we got the long-awaited announcement of the second expansion for the recent entry This followed on the return of Hot Wheels for the first expansion. I reviewed the base game when it came out which can be found here. Though now the second expansion sees another return to the franchise. When the franchise launched just over a decade ago I was hooked. I still play that original game now and then over a decade on. The game saw rally added a couple of months after the launch and now the fifth game goes full circle with the release of Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure.

Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure is a very different beast from what the previous expansion offered. We have a much more dedicated rally experience in the world of the Horizon Festival. Some of the off-roading and challenges are more extreme than the base game. We also have a new map and locations to explore and the seasons are back in play. At the time of writing, I have encountered the Autumn season or stormy season. Stormy is very apt and at times you can have very little visibility. Therefore can make a timed rally run all the more challenging. The game plays fairly similarly with the more you race and the more you win the faster you unlock more events. Also, the game looks fantastic as we see from the Xbox Series X footage.

Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure Game Play

The handling and attention to deal are what we expect from Playground Games, and the latest entry doesn’t disappoint. If we look at the screenshots below we can see how striking the game is. For just an expansion there is a fair amount to do, We have various races to PR stunts for each branch of the expansion. It’s also been very fun to play and I’ve found it hard to put down. Fans of the series and rally fans couldn’t do much wrong in picking this up as I found time vanished very fast whilst playing it.
